Description:

Clever Markets is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our market expansion in the EU. You’re here to open doors. Your job is to generate qualified leads and strategic referral partnerships that bring institutional energy trading firms into our pipeline. You’ll own the top of the sales funnel and drive the outreach engine that fuels our growth.

Start Date: July 2025
Salary: 100% commission-based uncapped compensation

WHO THIS IS FOR:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and sales in the European energy industry, trading, or financial services. Knowledge of technical analysis is a big plus.

The candidate should have a proven track record of consistent lead generation and partnership network building.

You’re confident with reaching out cold and can handle rejection with a smile. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can help tweak and develop the top-of-funnel process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation
  • Pipeline Development
  • Qualify Leads and Handoff
  • Give feedback and iterate process
  • Develop and refine sales scripts and lead magnets
KPIs:

Qualified leads generated per month.

Sales closed.

Outreach attempts.

You will be measured by the number of meaningful intro meetings booked with relevant decision-makers. Secondary KPIs are the inputs that lead to intro meetings.
